Proceed with Caution Shoe-a-holic Ahead. Camina con cuidado- Obsesiva del calzado en tu camino

If you are anything like me, you've been living in your boots trying to keep your feet warm throughout the winter. If you live in the Bay Area, you are probably sick of the wet, rainy days and have worn your rain boots more in the past 3 months than in the past 5 years combined. Don't get me wrong, we needed the rain in California (YAY, no more drought) but I miss our warm, sunny days.

But enough about the weather, today I wanted to share some of my favorite ankle booties and my new fond obsession: over the knee boots! I enjoy playing with new fabrics, textures, and designs to spice up any outfit to easily go from the office to happy hour with friends. Lately, I've been digging embroidered details on everything from tops, jeans, jackets and booties. Pairing up my embroidered ankle booties with an oversized white tee and my black leather jacket is a comfy and easy look to pull off, perfect for casual Fridays at the office.

I guess you could say that wearing booties every day means I've sort of been neglecting my feet care a bit (ugh, guilty!). I skipped a pedicure here and there but what can I say, out of sight, out of mind. As Spring nears, I've found myself picking out fresh nail polish colors and exfoliating [insert feet scrub link here] my feet more often. It's time to properly prepare my feet for my beloved heeled sandals and open toe wedge season. Si eres como yo,  viviste en tus botas tratando de mantener tus pies calientes durante el invierno. Si vives en el área de la bahía,  probablemente estuviste harta de los días mojados, lluviosos y llevado tus botas de lluvia más en los últimos 3 meses que en los últimos 5 años combinados. No me malinterpreten, necesitamos la lluvia en California ( no más sequía!) pero echo de menos nuestros días calurosos y soleados.

Pero ya suficiente sobre el clima, hoy quería compartir algunos de mis botines  favoritos y mi nueva obsesión: las botas sobre las botas a la rodilla! Disfruto jugando con nuevas telas, texturas, y diseños para darle un toque especial  a cualquier pinta para ir fácilmente de la oficina al “happy hour” con mis amigas. Últimamente, he estado observando detalles bordados en todo, desde las blusas, los jeans, las chaquetas hasta los botines. Me encanta combinar  mis botines bordados con una camiseta blanca y mi chaqueta de cuero negra para ir los viernes a la oficina.

Supongo que se podría decir que usar botines todos los días significa que de alguna manera he descuidado mis pies un poco (ugh, culpable!). Me salté una pedicura aquí y allá, pero ¿qué puedo decir? Estuvieron  fuera de la vista, fuera de la mente. Cuando se acerca la primavera, me encuentro escogiendo colores de esmalte de uñas más llamativos y exfoliante con más frecuencia. Es hora de preparar adecuadamente mis pies para mis amadas sandalias de tacón y emprender  la temporada de talones destapados. Recientemente compré un par sandalias de tacón alto y de encaje negro, que no puedo esperar para usar todo el verano. Van perfectamente con faldas, vestidos y vaqueros.
